Something new that we are offering at Saguaro Buttes at a minimal charge is “up lighting”. “Up lighting” consists of LED lights placed around the room, against the wall, that add color and atmosphere to the reception room at night. You have the choice of a variety of colors and as you can see in this photo, the lights on “pink”, positioned behind the head table.
Adding a little humor to the wedding reception, can be fun. Christopher Wagner got a surprise after the wedding ceremony when he walked in to see a large sock monkey sitting at his table. It was a gift from his father and I am sure it was an inside joke. Be careful not to go overboard though, a little humor done right is good, but going too far can be embarrassing.
We would like to thank all those who came out to the “I Do In Tucson” Bridal Show at the Hilton East on Sunday, January 24, 2010. We had a wonderful turn out, with close to 200 brides and grooms showing up. Cindy and Danyele were there at the Saguaro Buttes’ booth answering questions and scheduling tours. It was a joy to see everyone, and also all those Brides and Grooms that had already booked their date. Thanks again.

One recent upgrade that you will not notice on a tour at Saguaro Buttes but you will discover when the evening comes and the dancing begins at your wedding, are our new LED lights. They are amazing, so much more colorful and changeable than what we previously had, which were the older PAR Can Lights. These new LED lights are controlled by a computer program and can do some awesome lighting effects at the press of a button on the dance floor. As we continue to upgrade Saguaro Buttes we will keep you updated.
Here is the table design of a recent wedding at Saguaro Buttes. Table runners can add a lot of style and elegance to your table setting. Black is always classic, and silver chairs with black pads add to the general appeal. The center piece accents the table, with mirrors and votive candles. The silver charger plates coordinate the colors. Saguaro Buttes offers as a part of our standard package, the choice of over 50 different color linens, which gives you plenty of choices to choose from.

Over the last six months we have been working on upgrading the front porch, putting in the railing, adding rope lights, planting some nice vegetation with a drip system. It has come a long way and is a wonderful place for taking pictures and watching the Sunset. It is relaxing to sit listening to the water fountain, and watching the colorful sunsets. We have more plans, to include flagstone, and new tables and chairs, music sound system and other upgrades. It is a place to enjoy.
January can be one of the most beautiful months to have a wedding in Tucson. The weather can be very mild, with temperatures in the low 70’s, as it was in the wedding with Becca and Ken on January 7th. pictured here, with this picture taken around 4:45 PM with the sun setting and the clouds casting shadows on the the Rincon mountains. For your guests coming from out of town, especially from the colder climates, it provides a wonderful break from the winter weather.
