The Texas Rangers (Leucophyllum frutescens, the scientific name that I can not pronounce) are in full bloom with their purple flowers.  After the rains we have had over the last week they came to life. They add a lot of color to the landscape.  These pictures were taken on August 4th.

In April, in Southern Arizona, the golden yellow colors of the Brittle Bush cover the desert floor. This Spring in particular, with the abundant winter rains we have had, the Brittle Bush has been amazing. Seen in the background, behind the wedding ceremony you can see the yellow Brittle Bush coming to life.

April is the month that the roses usually start blooming at Saguaro Buttes. This last week the flowers began to bloom and this picture taken on April 16th shows some of the roses by the waterfall.   Saguaro Buttes has dozens and dozens of rose bushes of various colors including red, yellow, and purple.
