The tradition of the father giving away his daughter took on special meaning at a recent wedding at Saguaro Buttes. Brigid and Travis were married April 27th, 2013 at Saguaro Buttes under some sad circumstances. Brigid’s father, Pat, shortly before the wedding became very ill and was in the hospital fighting for his life, when his daughter’s wedding took place. After months of recovery, and major surgery, Pat is now on the mend and doing much better. We were happy to recreate the wedding ceremony again, so that this time he could give his daughter her away in marriage. With many of the guests present from the April wedding, they again walked down the aisle this last September. Life is short, and these special moments, are to be treasured for a lifetime.
