What to Do When it Rains on Your Outdoor Wedding?

What do you do when it rains on your outdoor wedding? In Arizona we are fortunate that we do not have many of those days, but it does happen. First it is important to have a back-up plan, ideally an indoor location or a place out of the weather. At Saguaro Buttes if it rains, and the Bride and Groom decide they want to have the ceremony inside, we move the ceremony to the reception hall. Secondly if they decide to continue with the outdoor ceremony, despite light rain, be sure the sound equipment is covered to keep the it dry, as electronics and water don’t do well together. Also consider having towels to wipe the chairs. Most of the time, even if it rains, if you wait a little while you are usually able to have the ceremony outside.
