General Guidelines for the Ring Bearer

Ring BearerThe ring bearer and flower girl can be adorable additions to your wedding. There are no hard fast rules on the ring bearer but some general guidelines to keep in mind. Generally boys between three to six years old, but not always a boy and sometimes younger or older. They may walk down with the ring or with a fake ring (most of the time with a fake ring). They can either walk with the flower girl or by themselves. Usually they carry a pillow and follow after the bridesmaids. They generally are seated during the ceremony, but not always. (If they can not stand still during the ceremony my advice is to have them seated as to not cause a lot of distractions during the ceremony.) Parents of the Ring Bearer usually pay for the tuxedo.
