Ring Bearer & Flower Girl

Should the Ring Bearer and the Flower Girl remain standing or should they be seated during the wedding ceremony? This is a good question and I always ask the bride and groom if they have a preference. If the children are under 5 years old it can be a real challenge for them to stand still during the ceremony, and they can also be very distracting and I would recommend they be seated. The children for the most part don’t mind being seated and I think prefer it. Older children though usually do just fine standing during the ceremony.
