Someone said “What is it about the desert? The light? The sense of time slowing down? Gorgeous, natural surroundings? Really amazing sunsets? I think it might be ALL of the above.” I would tend to agree. I believe another advantage is privacy, especially if you use a venue or location that is out in the desert. There is a sense of being in the Old West, where not much has changed for a thousand years. After the wedding is done, the guests have gone home, and life goes back to normal, what you have left is the photos. (I believe that if you have extra money to spend, spend it on a good photographer.) Also, the views, the vistas, the lighting and the landscape make for some very dramatic photos. The photo above was taken by “Something Blue Photography” and is a wonderful illustration of artistic photography. And finally, don’t forget about the weather, yes it can be hot, but the evenings will usually cool down to 30 to 40 degrees, and the humidity- except during monsoon season, is very low and comfortable.
