So why would anyone want to have an outdoor wedding in 110 degrees? How would you keep it comfortable for your guests? What are some ways to mitigate the heat? There are various reason to have your wedding in these months. One would be it’s easier to get a Saturday at your favorite venue. Many people have more flexible schedules in the Summer, with vacations and schools being out. The nights are very comfortable in June in Tucson with the low humidity. You can keep your guest comfortable several ways. One, have the wedding closer to sunset. Secondly allow your guests to be inside before the wedding. The DJ will make an announcement for the guests to go outside right before the ceremony, which means they are only outside for a short time. Three keep the ceremonies short and to the point. You can mitigate the heat in different ways. Provide fans for your guest to use during the ceremony. Next make sure you have bottled cold water and you can also provide some fun food like Eegees, which is popular in Tucson. Many Brides and Grooms are scared away from summer weddings in Tucson and yet once the sun goes down it can be very comfortable. Steven and Carol pictured below were married June 13th. at Saguaro Buttes in Tucson Az. with temperatures of 98 degrees on their wedding day. This weekend (June 20th. 2015) it is currently as I write this 110 degrees. Tucson can get hot in June but don’t let it scare you away.
