Wedding Halls in Tucson

Saguaro Buttes Wedding Hall at Sunset

Most wedding receptions will usually be inside where you can have safety from the elements. It keeps the summer heat, or the monsoon rains, the winter cold, or the windy weather from wreaking havoc on your special day. A few things to keep in mind when choosing a Wedding Hall or reception room for your wedding.

Wedding Halls close to the Ceremony Site

Nothing takes the steam out of an event than having a number of your guests get lost between the ceremony site and the wedding hall. It is an advantage if you can have the ceremony and the reception at the same location, but if you can not you want to select a Wedding Hall that is reasonably close to the Ceremony site and one that is easy to find. Keep in mind how far apart these two locations are, and especially for your out of town guest who may not know the streets of Tucson.

Wedding Halls with Air-Conditioning

Is it air-conditioned or heated? We are in Arizona and it gets hot! It also gets cold at night. Nothing is worse than having a warm room full of sweating guests. This November we were still experiencing weather in the 90’s. An air-conditioned wedding hall ensures your guests will be comfortable.

Wedding Halls with Lighting

Wedding Hall

To set the mood for your wedding, it is nice to have lighting that is able to be adjusted brighter and lower. Lighting on a register. If all the wedding hall offers is “on and off” floresent lighting, it can kill any mood your are trying to set. It may not be important to you, but it is something to consider.

Wedding Halls with Stages

Does it have a lighted stage area for your head table. It doesn’t have to be much of a stage, but something elevated is nice to be able to see your wedding guests. Being lighted makes it nice for the toast time so those that are speaking are not in the dark but you can actually see their faces.

Wedding Halls with Views

Does the Wedding Hall have views or windows where you can see the beautiful Arizona Landscape? This may not be important for you, but many of the out-of-town guests will enjoy sitting in a room where they can see the beautiful sunsets and views of the Arizona Desert.

Wedding Halls with Dance Floors

Does the Wedding Hall have a Dance Floor or is it in a separate location? Some venues have their dance floor in a different location than where the reception or dinner is served. If you want your guests to be able to sit at their tables and be a part of the dancing, this may be something to consider. Also does the Dance floor have it’s own lights and sound system? This tends to make for a more consistent and trouble free experience than those that have to set up and break down each event.

Wedding Halls that are Clean and Well Maintained

When you visit a Wedding Hall, look around and see if it is well maintained, if there is a “pride of ownership” as you were. It is a good indication on how well it will look on the day of your wedding.

Wedding Halls with a Projection System

Does your Wedding Hall have a projection system and a screen large enough so everyone can see it? One of the trends at weddings receptions is showing a Photo montage during the dinner hour. It adds a lot to the reception and can also add a little humor. Can all the guests see the screen?

Wedding Halls with the Right Fit

You want your Wedding Hall to fit right. In other words you don’t want it so large that it swallows up your guests and seem like the hall is empty, and you don’t want it so small that you have no elbow room. The size of the room is important. You want something that feels intimate and comfortable, but you don’t want the ceilings so low it feels closed in.

Wedding Halls with Bathrooms

Nothing is worse than having long lines for the restrooms. With larger weddings over 150 to 200 people you want to make sure there are plenty of restrooms for your guests. It is a small thing, and one easy to over look, but can be a big issue on the day of your wedding.

Wedding Halls with Sufficient Parking

Parking is one of those issues that is easy to overlook also. Does the Wedding Hall have parking on site or is it off-site? How far is the parking and is it easy to find? Does it cost money to park? Is there a shuttle from the parking lot to the the wedding hall? Is it paved parking or gravel parking? Do they have handicap parking for your guests?

Wedding Halls that feel Comfortable and Look Right

I thought I would throw this last one in, because after considering all of the above, it is still important that the room feels comfortable and looks right. Is it inviting? Is it a room that you see your wedding guests enjoying the evening in? Does it have enough of what you want to make it right for you? You will not find one location that has everything you want, not on this side of heaven, but you can find something close.
